The goal of WOW
Ensure the responsible agencies protect us from harm by...
- Designing upstream developments to not harm downstream communities from runoff
- Incorporating increasing rainfall forecasts into flooding and drainage protection plans
- Optimize groundwater use without causing harmful faulting and subsidence
- Supplementing groundwater with surface water to meet rising demand but maintain affordable water
- Managing water related taxpayer services and funds with transparency and fiscal responsibility
- Managing wastewater treatment facilities with a long term outlook
