Woodlands One Water

Woodlands One WaterWoodlands One WaterWoodlands One Water

Even in a community as wonderful as The Woodlands, there are water related risks to our homes that you may not be aware of.  This site will help you learn about them and also (hopefully) motivate you to get involved to get them fixed!

Risks to your Woodlands home. Rainfall Atlas 14, New Development, Subsidence, faults, cost of water

The goal of WOW

Ensure the responsible agencies protect us from harm by...

  • Designing upstream developments to not harm downstream communities from runoff
  • Incorporating increasing rainfall forecasts into flooding and drainage protection plans
  • Optimize groundwater use without causing harmful faulting and subsidence
  • Supplementing groundwater with surface water to meet rising demand but maintain affordable water
  • Managing water related taxpayer services and funds with transparency and fiscal responsibility
  • Managing wastewater treatment facilities with a long term outlook
