Maximize groundwater use without causing harmful faulting and subsidence
The Y axis is in centimeters, 27 cm is 10.6 inches; the X axis is years ranging from 2000 on the left to the most recent measurement in the Spring of 2022. The chart shows that land at this site has sunk nearly a foot since 2000, that's what the red arrow highlights.
The data is collected by HGSD and available on their site too.
Note this is not a scaled survey map of the faults and should not be used as a basis for financial decisions regarding real estate; however the data *ALL OF IT* is available online, at other sites, like Montgomery County Appraisal District, SJRA GRP Fault Monitoring, and GPS subsidence measuring stations maintained by HGSD.
Note that the white arrow points to the PWES CORS station at Powell Elementary and that is sinking faster than the CORS stations on either side of it - evidence that subsidence occurs unevenly and has for the last 50 years. That affects our drainage systems.
Continue to sink, crack and flood and watch our property values drop.
